Buzzer Bach

When I spotted this fly in the depths of an old fly box I thought 'I like the look of that!' Rather more importantly so did rather a lot of trout, consistently picking it out from other Diawl Bachs on the leader. Tied round the hook bend, ribbed with holographic gold, plus a red head and a slip of goose biot to provide a trigger point, this fly has more than its share of that hard to define 'fishiness' - and as well as being a general purpose nymph plus a great buzzer pattern I couldn't wait to try it out on the Grafham shrimp feeders. The trout did indeed love it, and the pattern quickly sold out but more have just landed! Take advantage to stock up so you can enjoy the same success!
