Selectafly has hundreds of regular customers who live and fish far away from the UK. We ship to Ireland, Europe, USA and across the World all the time. We offer easy ordering, prompt and reliable shipment and a quick response to a phone call or email when needed.

Shipping costs are reasonable and reflect the expenses we ourselves bear in order to provide a timely and trustworthy service. To find out more about these costs and expected delivery times see below.

Should you be travelling to a new destination you will be interested to know that between ourselves and our Pro Team we have fished in countries in every continent around the world – and the list of countries continues to grow. Because of this extensive experience of fishing around the world, we are in a great (and unbiased!) position to advise you on the flies you will need when you reach your dream destination. In a situation like this our objective is simple – it’s to put a grin on your guide’s face when he opens your fly box – a grin that says, “Yes, these will do the job!” Email or phone us and discuss what you require prior to ordering, or add a note to your order so that we may contact you.

You will be billed by Selectafly Ltd in GBP which your bank will convert into your own currency on your statement. Please note that prices shown on our website include UK VAT. When you enter your country into your delivery address prices will be adjusted to remove VAT – saving you 20%. Custom duties/duties/handling costs incurred on delivery will be the responsibility of the Customer.

Deliveries – Ireland, Europe and Worldwide

  1. Royal Mail International Standard to Ireland and Europe - £4.45 (Small Parcel £8.45). Worldwide deliveries are charged £5.45. £10.45 if required to send as Small Parcel.

Royal Mail International Tracked & Signed - £9.45 (Small Parcel £12.45) to Ireland and Europe.  Worldwide Tracked/Signed deliveries are £12.45. For all signed services a Tracking number will be supplied, but please note a signature will be required on delivery.

Deliveries – USA

Following the changes to the rules on low value imports to the USA, introduced in August 2025, we now have access to a service provided by Royal Mail and USPS which once again means we send flies to the US in a simple, timely and cost effective way. Once United States is entered in the destination country line UK VAT (20%) will be deducted. In its place you will be charged 10% US import duties – so a fly which shows a price of £2.25 on our website will actually cost you £2.06. Postage is obviously on top of this but – for a fully tracked service to give you complete peace of mind and faster clearance through customs – this cost is not unreasonable.

Here’s how it works:

  1. Build your order (FLIES ONLY PLEASE, NO LEADER MATERIALS, FLYBOXES ETC – to avoid multiple tariff complexities)
  2. Proceed to check-out.
  3. For US addresses only one shipping option is available – tracked and signed, at a cost of £13.85. This is the only service linked to the automated import arrangements from Royal Mail/USPS.
  4. Our system will automatically add 10% of the value of your order (excluding the £13.85 shipping cost). This is the US customs/import duty charge, electronically linked to your package, which will be sent to US Customs and Border Protection via our joint postal services.
  5. You will receive tracking details, allowing you to monitor progress of your delivery, which should now proceed without delay at the US border. A signature will be required for this service on delivery.
